Who's happy? Right, he is.

Just come and see who has a little fanboy moment. Or rather a moment where his ego is boosted up like woah. He had seen them in those square things people called tele... television or something. And now he stood in front of one of them. A dream coming true. A modified version of his flying machine. It looked wonderful. Amazing.

And good god, he ( Read more... )

". . .I really need to stop being surprised at the things I find in these rooms." Then again, this is one of the lighter things he's seen while wandering around. Or did he find a door outside? It didn't matter much, just that there was a plane sitting on a taxiway here and that was sort of new in regards to what was usually found in HQ.

Though now he was curious--maybe there was something cool inside the plane!

So he starts off for it. "Hey, are you coming!?" Because the only plane fights that're fun alone are in fighter jets. And his counterpart seemed to be staring. He'd come off as the cooler one if he ran headfirst into this, right?

Staring? He's flailing like a child who just found the greatest toy to play with. And he's more than excited to get into this thing. Never had he thought that his dream, to give men the chance to fly like a bird could come true. Or even more men at once.

"Of course!" Damn, it had been too long since he spoke German.

Either way, they're headed toward it, now! In Prussia's case, hopping up the steps, skipping every other one. He peers in and looks around--it's a pretty simple plane, and empty aside the comfortable seats. That bores Prussia a little but the important and interesting part is the cockpit which he happily finds unlocked.

"Huh. I don't think I've ever been in one of these before. It looks a bit different from what I'm used to." But he flops sideways down in the main pilot's chair, examining everything.

Well, this one being from the 15th century is pretty amazed by all of this. It's pure luxury if you asked him. Gilbert is following his counterpart, his eyes shining when he had his eyes on the cockpit. "You can fly such a thing?! Awesome!!!"

It is pretty luxurious, even for a modern person. Planes are comfortable! If they have enough leg room and cushy seats, anyway. "Yeah, of course! They're made for flying, aren't they? I used to fly them all the time! Er--fighter jets, not regular, transporting planes like this. But everything's about the same, I think!" He fiddled about and pressed a button, bringing the plane to life. "At least, the power button is!!" He grinned and sat properly, examining everything further.

Hey, they are meant to fly, not to be comfortable. Although, being comfortable is a nice bonus. "... They are used for war too?" The sad thing is, he expected that this great invention would be used for war too. "How does it fly anyways? It looks pretty heavy if you ask me." He saw them fly but he had to actually fly himself to believe it. It was too good to be true after all... oh, if he could show this to Feliciano.

"Yeah! Of course! It makes things way more convenient--I prefer fighters, though. Shooting is more fun than bombing, no matter how much easier it is." He had a penchant for war he'd never let go of, even in modern times. He just preferred more traditional warfare to bombing and destroying things in big numbers with one go. It wasn't nearly as fun. "Well, of course it's heavy! Most things this size are, unless they're made of cardboard." Making sure all of the doors were closed and locked, he put his seatbelt on and gestured to the second pilots chair. "Take a seat! You'll fall down if you're standing up when this thing gets in the air! A-and put your seatbelt on, too! Anyway, an engine keeps this thing in the air and the way the wings are helps it stay up! The wings are tilted, that way the air going over it moves faster than the air beneath it. When air speeds up, it's pressure drops--when the pressure drops, things can go up instead of down. Then the plane stays in the air! The engine keeps it moving forward quickly ( ... )

His joy is designing machines and building life-size models of them, be it for war or whatever. As long as it catches his interest that is. He planted himself on a seat quickly. "What the hell is a seatbelt?" Men even tricked physics! It's amazing! Awesome!

Models are almost as good as the real thing. Just as nice to look at! Prussia pouted, undid his own seatbelt, and reached over and buckled him in. "It's the thing that makes sure your ass doesn't go flying through the windshield and onto the ground of you have to make a short stop in a moving vehicle. And so turbulence doesn't do the same thing. And in case you lose power and have to make a hard landing. It's for safety, just wear it!" He returned to his seat and put his back on, preparing everything for flight. HQ seemed cooperative--everything was prepared and cleared for them to go.

"OKAY!! Are we ready!?" He asked, even though as soon as the words were out he started the plane forward.

"Safety with a belt? Huh, the future is weird!" But if it calms his other self down and lets him sleep at night then he will keep the belt on, see? "I've never been more ready in my whole life!" It's even moving on its own! Without horses or wind! Gilbert decided that he likes the future.

"When're you from, anyway? It's a little weird, but it works! Basically it just holds you down if you jerk forward too quickly and keeps you in place!" He gave his a tug and it made a harsh noise as it forcibly kept the belt from coming out too far, though his attention stayed on the runway. His grin widened as it accelerated and the end drew nearer, faster. He began to gently pull the control wheel back, reaching over to flip switches and press buttons as they started to take the air. The runway began to disappear quickly from the view of the window in front of them, being replaced with the sky and the sky only.

"Last time I checked it was 1483 or something and I was in Venezia. Say does that place still smell horrible?" Not like he'd ever need such a belt on a horse carriage. It would be pretty useless, despite that the way it works is interesting. It couldn't match his interest in the airplane though, not at all.

"Woah! Are we in the air already?!"

"Hey! Italy doesn't smell bad at all!! He smells as bad as he is uncute--which means he's fucking adorable and smells great, so every part of him does!!" But the whole 'Venice smells bad' had been but a myth in all of his experience(and with his attachment to the Italy brothers he had plenty of it.) The canals smelt like salt water, and that didn't smell bad at all, not to Gilbert anyway. "But that's pretty long ago. . .I was still a brat back then!! Kesese, I was cute back then, too."

Prussia nodded, pointing at the side window. "Yeah, we are! Just look out there--unless you're afraid of heights or somethin', but I really doubt that." Considering his fascination with the plane and all, it'd be a shame if he got some Acrophobia when they were already getting so high.

"Okay, okay, I was talking about the city, not they guy himself!" He has no idea that 'Italy' and Feliciano are one and the same person just from another universe. And yes, it's centuries ago and the people back then... let's not go into detail, it's gross. "It's still kinda strange! The future that is. And of course you were! I know I was cute!"

Hey, he's not scared at all! ... Maybe just a little but give him some credit, it's his first time in an airplane. "This is awesome!" We are like birds!!!"

"I know, but the city's part of hi--his hou--him, and it really doesn't smell! Really!!" Or maybe he simply has such a high opinion he can't smell anything.

Prussia's not the most careful when it comes to technology introduction. He didn't really think twice about it. Hopefully the whole 'popping ears' thing that happens about now won't scare him a bit more. "We are!! Just a bit heavier! That's one of the reasons I love flying--w'll go as high as any little bird could go! Higher, actually!!" He'd be even more excited if he were in a jet. Moving much faster, moving a bit more fluidly, able to do all sorts of tricks without feeling like you'll fall out of the sky. When you have experience, anyway.

"I already got it."But he's living there. Okay, he had just moved there before he got here. They both have an high opinion on their Feli's as it seems. But it's good.

His ears did start to feel weird... and hurt a little. "Hey, is it normal that your ears start to hurt?" Flying even higher than a little bird? That's even more than he ever expected!
