Huh, what's this room? [Alfred peeks his head through a door, then realizing it's a REALLY NICE HOUSE (or at least looks like one as far as he can tell) he yanks his hand off the doorway trying not to get dirt on it. Oh shit, this place looks kinda classy.] ... Hello? Anyone here?

[Hm, we'll just step on through for a quick look-see! Only, as ( Read more... )

[She recognizes that voice. It's America. Or at least another version of him. She's quiet for a moment before she says anything. It's doubtful that he even noticed her just down the hall.]

Hello.

[She looks behind him for a moment.]

Was there a door there? This place likes to do things like that to people.

[America totally shouts when she says hello, he really didn't see her until she said something. Sneaky Canadian ninjas!] Whoa! You really scared me there, ma'am! Yeah, there was a door here, I swear there was!

Wait, 'likes'? Like... it's alive?

I think so. This place is weird. It's simply called "HQ". No one's really sure how they got here or how to exactly get back.

[She adjusts her glasses a bit and then gives him a small, shy smile.]

I'm Canada.

Nice to meet you, Canada! I'm America, Britain's colony. [America holds his hand out, looks down said hand which is like covered with dirt and stuff from working outside all day, pulls it back in a futile attempt to wipe it off on his pants and getting it no cleaner because his trousers are just as dirt-covered and grass-stained, then settles with a bit of a laugh and just bowing his head.

... He's met Canada, he's just totally forgotten. Give him a second and he'll feel like an ass.]

[ Oh well. This is certainly nostalgic, in a way. This America looks about like Aaron's own when he had first appeared in 1787. He just watches the other a moment, before stepping closer. ]

Tha doors do that sometimes.

I'm pretty sure doors aren't supposed to do that! [... weird, it's like looking into a mirror! Maybe this guy is a colony or country too. That'd be neat. In any case, Alfred sees no reason to not trust him. It isn't like any of the other nations he's met have done anything other than say hi and gtfo]

Well, no, but that's HQ fer ya. [ Aaron headtilts slightly, looking the other over. It's been quite a while since he's seen a version of Alfred this young, and the Confederate's fairly certain he's new. Still, to be sure. ] Ya new here?

I must be! I'm sure I've never been anyplace this nice before, 'cept for England's house, and this doesn't look like that.

[And here comes one England. She blinks at him for a moment. He reminded her of Emily. She hadn't seen the Nation this young in a long time.]

America?

[It's a good thing Alfred was already warned about the different sexed versions of people he knows otherwise this would be CUE PANIC AND FREAK OUT.] Big brother- .... ... ... ... .. ... sister?

[He wandered in and blinked.]

Wow! They were right! There were a lot of me here!

[This one looked a bit older than him, but not as old as the other him he'd met earlier.]

Whoa! This is weird! [He'd met the CSA after all, but that was different. 'Similar but separate' was more or less what he was told. A mirror, this would be his first.]

[Oh my, now what have we here?]

[Having been here for a bit now, Françoise was well aware that she would meet genderbent doubles of the people she knew back in her world. Needless to say, she recognizes little Alfred. So cute. Now to see if he'd recognize her.]

Bonjour! Don't worry about the door, you're in a much better place now.

[It's the French that makes her recognizable really. That and that he tends to assume anyone speaking French = France unless they state otherwise. And that's why French Fries are called French Fries and not Belgium Fries.] N-no way, France??!

[Even if she knew that little fact she wouldn't mind, it's her beautiful language so naturally she should be connected to it first.] Of course. Are you surprised?
