Hotaru pouted a little as she climbed the stairs to her bedroom. She had wanted to stay up past her bedtime just this once and considering their recent victory over Nehelenia felt she had earned the right. But Haruka-papa's word was law, and Sailor Senshi or not Hotaru's bedtime was still 9:30.
Pulling her pajama top over her head, Hotaru looked out the window at the sky above. She wondered what Chibiusa was doing right now - probably getting ready for bed, just like she was. It really wasn't fair; thanks to the whole conflict with Nehelenia the two of them hadn't gotten to spend any real quality time together before the pink-haired girl had to return to the future. Of course, if it hadn't been for Nehelenia Hotaru never would have re-awoken as a Senshi this quickly in the first place.
Wondering if she'd ever make another friend who was as good or as close to her as Chibiusa was, Hotaru climbed into bed and laid her head down on her pillow, and closed her eyes.
When she opened them again, she was no longer in her bedroom.
Blinking the sleep from her eyes, Hotaru quickly sat up. Everything was gone- her bed, her desk, her lamps; her entire bedroom…there was nothing around her but an empty street lined with buildings that were probably equally empty. Is this the Silence? Hotaru asked herself. She stood, flinching at the feeling of cold pavement beneath her bare feet. Holding out one hand she tried to summon her henshin wand; at least transformed she'd have boots on, not to mention access to her Glaive should she come across any…unfriendlies.
When her wand didn't appear, Hotaru knew she had a serious problem.
"Michiru-mama? Haruka-papa? Setsuna-mama?" she called experimentally. Nothing, no answer. The only option left was to start walking, find out where she was and if there was anyone else about.
Hotaru started walking along the road, wincing every time her feet came in contact with the asphalt.
And shoes. Hopefully she'd be able to find a pair of shoes somewhere.
