Nina's wandering through the hallways with nothing to do.

Once you get past the vampires and the acid rain, this place is pretty boring.

Nick slept in her room a few days back and she hasn't seen him since.

Feel free to snap her out of her wandering trance and chat for a bit.

Of course, thinking of him will cause him to appear.

And he does!

He's wandering the halls as well, although unlike Nina, he has a destination. He's on his way to the roof, since it's not that cold out today, and really, he needs something to wake him up.

... although, Nina's face kind of does that. He brightens immediately and stops in his tracks to flash a smile her way.

Yes, that smile.

Nina cycles through moods, as Nick has surely noticed.

Today, she's in a happy mood! She's still got a bit of a rush from the fight.

She turns, sees Nick's toothy grin, and returns the smile.

"Where'd you disappear to?"

Nick, for a brief moment, is boggled.

Nina smiled! Whaaaaat.

"Um. My room?"

To sleep on something that's not a floor?

Nina keeps on smiling.

"For three days?"

(Yay random number).

"Well -- no, I've been in 202. And on the roof. But that's it, really."

He shrugs.

"Oh," she says.

Her eyes wander a bit before she says: "I'm bored."

Two things cross Nick's mind: Of course! and Oh God not again.

"... well, I'm not taking you outside the wall, that's for sure."

Nina rolls her eyes.

"Did I say that? I'm not that suicidal. There's gotta be something to do around here that doesn't involve near-death experiences, doesn't there?"

"Um."

Think, think, think.

Then, a lightbulb! Nick's face lights up.

"There's a library that Beckett opened up," he says. "It's outside the wall, but I'm pretty sure it's safe. Haven't had a chance to go there, yet, but I've seen the sign from the roof."

It's kind of hard to miss a neon sign when lit up in complete darkness.

"Sure," she says. Nina hasn't read a good book since she got here.

"Lead on."

Glee!

Nick, as much as he wants to, resists squeaking.

Instead, he takes Nina by the hand and drags her down the stairs, outside, past the wall, and stops only once they've reached the front steps of the library.

Ooh, shiny.

At least she's not the hyper one this time.

When they finally stop, she grabs her arm.

"Well, I think it's still attached, at least..."

She walks up a few of the steps, then stops.

"Where do they get the books in this place, anyway?"

... Nick blinks.

"I have no idea," he admits, then hops up the steps to open the door for her.

"After you."

"Such a gentleman," Nina remarks.

She walks in and begins browsing the numerous volumes of literature.

And Nick --

-- Nick kind of just stands there and looks around for a few minutes.

There's a sudden lump in his throat that he just can't seem to swallow, so he decides to distract himself.

Look, poetry!

Nina passes through a section filled with sex novels. She looks over at Nick, sees that he's distracted, picks one out and begins to read it.
