Daffodil is inside, today, in the common room. She has a book - not in english, aturally - and is struggling with it. She's made it a few pages in, though, and is making more notes on translating it than on it's content. Still, she's trying.

She looks annoyed, though.

Maybe she could do with distracting.

Rattrap walks into 202, with a thoughtful look on his face. Unlike the last time he came to this room, he's paying enough attention to his surroundings to not run into any chairs.

As he comes in, he sees the little girl there, and gives her a little smile and a quick wave.

She stares at him for a moment, but then remembers her manners and offers him a shy smil, and a half-wave in return.

Rattrap walks into the kitchen for a little bit and comes out with a can of spam. He doesn't like human food, but he's gotta make do.

He sits down at a nearby chair before starting to eat.

"Hi."

"Hello," quietly, looking at him and trying very, very hard not to stare. Too obviously.

Rattrap sighs.

"Lemme guess, you've never seen a robot before, right?"

Definately too obviously.

She shakes her head, silently.

What is a robot? She's pretty sure that they didn't have them in her world.

"...I guess you could say dat I'm a mechanical person. But dat's just puttin' it simply."

It's getting a little less aggravating to explain what he is lately.

"Oh."

Her eyes are very big.

"Are you magical?"

[ratwithwheels]

"Uhhh...not really. But I do have a soul..." Just to be clear.

"Okay," nodding seriously. Because, really, that's important.

He just grins. At least he doesn't have to prove it to this one.

"Name's Rattrap."

[fertilefootfall]

"Hello," politely. "I'm Daffodil."

She tilts her head to the side.

"Why do you need to eat, if you're made of metal?"

[ratwithwheels]

"'Cause I need it ta power myself. My generator usually uses Energon, but it can also use organic material, too."

He's probably over-explained, but he hasn't noticed yet.

She blinks.

"Your what uses what?"

[ratwithwheels]

"Slag. Uh...I can eat food ta make me work right?"
