Rogue is wandering around the apartment buildings, a touch too cheery for her own good. She heads up to the roof and checkes out the greenhouse then wanders over to the edge where she sees a woman sitting there looking a touch morose. Her brow furrows and she sits down a foot or so away from the woman.
"Hey, Sugar, you alright?" she asks in her thick southern accent.
Anya looked over to the girl sitting a little ways from her. "Oh yes. I'm peachy. Just looking out at the... nothing." She tolted her head slightly, looking curiously to Rogue. "Are you gay? Cause if you like vampires I know a gay one you could be with. She's cute I guess... as far as girl vampires go. I mean she isn't glowery or ripply but girls shouldn't be."
Rogue pauses, a bit taken aback by the woman's ramble. "No...I ain't gay. I've got a boyfriend and he ain't a vampire. You sure you're feelin' alright?"
Because really, in Rogue's world most people don't start conversations out that way.
Rogue shrugged. "I call most everyone Sugar. It's...a Southern thing," she offered as an excuse. She tilted her head and regarded the woman carefully. She seemed a bit too cheerful as if it didn't come naturally.
"Oh. Like those odd people at the entrance to Walmart who call everyone 'honey'." Anya conceded, her head nodding slightly. "I understand. Not that you're odd."
"Anya." She introduced herself, looking back out to the horizon. "I've been called odd too... among other things. Irrational assumptions mean nothing. Usually it's just petty humans trying to rationalize away something they have no comprehension of."
"Nice to meet you," Rogue said. "I agree with you, but you're not one...a petty human I mean." She tried to unobtrusively reach over and slide one of her gloves down to her wrist just in case.
"Unfortunately?" Rogue asked as she slid her glove back up to it's proper place above her elbow. "From what I can tell, there's lots of nice things about being human."
"Some nice things... like sex. Sex is good. Human pleasure during sex... and the after part with the cuddling and touching. That's nice too." Anya said bluntly, her voice taking on an almost wistful tone. "Not that I'm getting any."
"Humans are confusing. I mean he kisses me and holds me like he cares. I start to care too and then it all turns into this big feeling caring thing and before you know it, you're standing at an alter all by yourself." Anya rambled and then looked sideways to Rogue.
"You said you had a boyfriend, you're not getting any from him? You should trade him in for another one." She advised.
Rogue blushed even more then. "Oh it's-it's not...it's not Oz's fault. He's...I mean I assume he can-And I think he wants-" she paused, not exactly sure how to explain it or even if she wanted to.
"I can't," she finally said. "At least not with anyone who can't completely cover themselves in organic steel."
"Hey, Sugar, you alright?" she asks in her thick southern accent.

"You're not alone in that aspect," Rogue said after a moment.
