Been wondering how the greenhouse has been doing? You're not the only one. Sokka's wandered up to the roof to look around, make sure everything's okay. So far, it looks great - Mushroom Daddy's been working his greenthumb-magic and the thought of oh god real food has Sokka grinning through most of his inspection ( Read more... )

It doesn't sit well with Bobby to just find an empty room and squat and act like this is a world. Though he doesn't hesitate to take advantage of the clothing (the lack of Hawaiian print disturbs him, but he imagines that this world probably doesn't have a Hawaii) and the food (a lot of the food), he decides to explore the apartment until he comes upstairs.

His eyes search the area before he finds someone on one of the support beams fiddling with ... something.

"Is everyone crazy?" he asks out loud. "I'm waiting for my crazy side to come out." After all, whatever this person is doing, he's certain it can't be completely sane. But then again, maybe his outlook is somewhat pessimistic.

The guy on the support beams blinks and takes wire out from between his teeth to give a little wave. "Most people here are crazy, yeah. If you aren't yet, you probably will be soon.

"I'm Sokka. You must be new."

"I don't know, I've managed to keep my head on so far. 'Cept the time I was just a head. But uh, that doesn't count. I was still all there." Bobby still feels like this must be some hallucination, but he's not really sure.

"Right, I'm Bobby." Sometimes, he doesn't know when to shut up. Some might argue it's one of his more endearing traits. Others--well, Bobby tries not to pay attention to the others.

He and Sokka must be kindred spirits, then - he has some of those same irritating/endearing traits.

He smirks at the answer given and turns his attention back to the misters. "Right, aside from the no-head time. Hey, hand me those wire cutters?"

Daddy peers upwards from his work, leaning on the pole he uses for..whatever.

"Workin on them, then?"

A useless pole? Sokka doubts this!

He blinks up, though, and smiles, nodding in a greeting. "Just fixing the misters. They're not running as well as they should be.

"Up here to make everything grow a little faster? 'Cause I can get out of your way if it helps."

"Always here to help 'em grow."

He gestures to the hammock between two poles.

"Just bein' here works the magic, y'know?"

He bends down, stroking a wilting plant. At his touch, the plant straightens, becomes greener, just generally looks better.

"You know a lot of engineering then? I been trying to figure out a way to put, like, trees on the edges of the building, for apples and such, but keep the rain off."

Magic is unexplained science, magic is unexplained science.

This is Sokka's mantra as he watches that plant grow to Daddy's touch, eyes wide.

"...Uh... yeah, yeah, I guess." He blinks back over at the man and nods, letting his legs swing over the beam so he can lean closer and peer. "We could build more roofing, like we have here with the greenhouse, but it'd be hard to keep the rain off the edges unless we build walls for it, too."
