The air doesn't feel right. This is the first thing Bobby notices. The next thing he notices is that he's still in a hospital gown and that he's supposed to be on the way to a bathroom, yet he finds himself walking somewhere outside. Nervously, he stops, glances around, and then crosses his arms over his chest. It just figures that first, he's ( Read more... )

Rogue has a backpack full of CD's she'd hijacked from the mall. Her hands are bare and she carrys a stake as she walks back to the apartment. Her brow furrows as she catches sight of someone in front of her. A familiar looking someone...

"Bobby?" she asks in a hesitant voice.

Probably not too familiar looking! Bobby is in his late twenties (and he jokes, constantly, about how he isn't that young and how everyone else is jealous of him and his lack of wrinkles). He hears his name and stumbles a little bit (thus forcing the little gown to come up in the back). The action reminds him of how much he probably needed that hydrogen bath. He has a feeling he's never going to get that.

"Uh--" he begins, but cuts himself off when he looks at the owner of the voice. "Rogue?" he asked. "Little. Rogue." It is rare that Bobby is a little tongue-tied, but this moment leaves him a little confused.

"Little...I..." she furrows her brow. He's older than when she left him a few weeks ago. "You're older...an' half naked. Let's get you back to the apartment buildings, Sugar an' get you dressed. I'll explain on the way."

"Of course I'm half-naked!" he burst out without thinking twice. Bobby had always been rather temperamental. "Northstar attacked me, but I managed to live--and then Mystique--and then--you should know this, you were there." He eyed her, stepping back away. "Kind of. Is this one of those alternate dimensions the others're always talking about? Always wondered when it happened when I would get a one-way ticket to one. Or the loony bin. Think this must be a loony bin."

"Yeah...I wasn't there. I've been here for two weeks an' the last fight I was in with you was against Magento and his brotherhood. This is an alternate dimension for both of us though. It's...basically from what I can gather, world ended however long ago. People are gettin' pulled here from all over the place an' time lines." She slipped her gloves out of her pocket and put them on. "There's no way to get out of here, that we can find yet."

"Must be different worlds, too," Bobby commented. He was pretty convinced that he was crazy and that while reforming his body, he had lost a very important part of his brain. Yes, indeed, his immaturity had finally played out! He was likely younger, secretly, and Rogue was younger (even if he had no idea about which battle with Magneto and the brotherhood that she was talking about, since there probably had to be hundreds), and he knew that he would get back to the apartments and find--oh, he didn't know--Hank walking around in diaper.

"Stuck and I'm half-naked. This type of scenario was only supposed to happen when I woke up in a pool of half-naked women. Such luck."

Rogue smirks at the comment. "No pool an' I ain't seen many half naked women walkin' 'round. There are clothes back at the apartment. There's also vampires out here, which is why we got a big wall," she says as she points out the wall in question. "You don't go outside without a stake. The apartments are pretty relaxed. Find an empty room an' it's yours. 202 is the common room with food, clothes and supplies. I'm in 701. First seven floors have runnin' water, sometimes hot."

"Uh huh," he says, listening to her as if all of this makes sense. It doesn't, and he doesn't want to tell her that. Bobby has a feeling it won't get him anywhere. But then again, when does half the shit he says get him anywhere? "Don't really need warm water," he goes on to say, his hand immediately shifting to its ice form before moving back to flesh.

"So uh, what kind of people are here?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you, Sugar," Rogue answers. "All kinds, demons...werewolves...regular people...jus' try not to hurt anyone inside the walls 'less their hurtin' someone else."

"Why wouldn't I believe that?" he asks in a confused voice. Bobby comes from a world where werewolves, demons, vampires, regular people, and even cyborgs live in a united and oddly--okay, not so peaceful existence. "And I don't go around hurting people," he continues, somewhat offended. Bobby has a temper on him, but he rarely hurts people for the kick of it (also known as never). His features show how uncomfortable he is.

"Chill out," Rogue smirks, pun intended. "I ain't sayin' you would hurt someone I'm jus' sayin' pretty much if they're in the apartment complex they're the good guys. It's hard to tell here sometimes," she says as the approach the gate.
