Again with the music coming from 202. Only this time, it's--The Beatles? WTF?

Faye's decided that she'll rotate different types of music in while making coffee. It's only fair, after all.

And somebody's singing along a little, or at least humming to it. Johnny's a classic rock fan, much to his friend, Bruce's chagrin. (Thinks that Johnny wouldn't like any music under 30 years old apparently, though Johnny's always claimed that he just likes something that's a classic.)

He just said, as he took the coffee, "Thanks. Oh, this and that. Still learning Mandarin for classes."

"I'm trying to learn it as well. There are far too many characters." She groans a little.

"There is, and hard to find a recognizable pattern to it all," he nodded with sympathy. "Heard the spoken can be more confusing. Depending on how you pronounce a certain syllable, it can have several different meanings."

"Uuuuuugh. I think I just died inside. This is not a language I want to learn to speak. And hopefully I won't have to! Just reading it should be enough," she says. "Hopefully by the time I'm done, I will be able to read it fluently."

She pauses for a second.

"How are you learning it? Alone, or did you find a teacher?"

He added, "Had this one woman named Lara give me some pointers about it, and mostly been going from there on my own."

"Huh," she says. "I was given a name and a room number for a guy who's fluent in the language, but I really don't want to go up there by myself. I mean, I can do this all day long, but... eh. Approaching a stranger to teach me one-on-one..."
