She hadn't managed to catch up with the guys arranging the mattress collection, not since giving her boots to Nitta, so Mel stayed in for the rest of the afternoon: rearranging stuff in 202; taking stock of what's getting used up and what they need more of; and idly wondering where Harth's got to.

Oddly, this is where he last found Harth.

Sokka was just walking past the room before he catches a glance of green, pink, purple, blue-- and pops back in.

"...Hi, Mel." Who else had that color combination?

Better since I talked my demons out with Harper; worse sincce my sister thinks I'm soulless and found a dead body; sucktacular since your brother decided he liked my sister.

"Okay." A pause as he tries to think of more to say-- and he grins. "Got a bike. It's this--" he pauses in the midst of starting to spread his hands to indicate the size, and blinks at her, almost disappointed. "...If you have cars, you probably already have those, huh?"

He doesn't get to gush and bubble about his new toy? :(

Oh look! It's a portly old man wandering into the room and looking around, a blanket clutched around his shoulders. He was pale, as if he was sick, and his voice was slightly scratchy, but he seemed in good enough spirits.

"Needs more silk," Iroh said resolutely.

And those tattooed lips curl up into a wide grin. "We're working on the silk," she assures him. "Girl turned up in a kimono. 'Nother couple of those and we're golden."

Mel doesn't know exactly what a geisha is. But she has seen people dress similar to that in some districts. You work it out.
