Veronica got up early.
It's hard to say 'before sun-up' because the approximation of when that actually is is kind of a messy one. But when she and Backup went outside, it was a lot darker than it usually is, and though she didn't really trust her watch, 5 am seemed kind of close.
Now, they're looping back after circling around the mall. Nothing particularly dangerous was in their path today, so the two are in good spirits, and with a full roll of film.
