This was interesting. If by "interesting", you meant "unnerving beyond all rational comprehension". Well, at least there weren't any zombies or leech monsters to deal with. And Jim wasn't screaming every five seconds about how much his life sucked. She hated that. It got annoying after the five hundredth time.
But this? This was interesting. One minute she was heading into an elevator in Raccoon Hospital, and the next minute, she walked out of a burned-out building onto a rocky street. The elevator led to this place? "Really. Zombie armaggeddon doesn't excuse the face that the mechanics really need to look at that elevator."
Still, maybe there was a military convoy. She could get to LA, write up her experiences, and land herself a cushy office job at the Times. Who knew? Which is why she set off in the likeliest direction to lead somewhere good.
