To the Mall!

Aug 04, 2006 23:43

Ichigo's leaning against the massive stone wall, close to the big gate, waiting for Wallace (or 'that guy' as he knows him) to show up. He's got his sword on his back as always, the oversized thing as tall as he is. He's starting to get tired of wearing his Shinigami robes. For battle they're great, but for loafing around for a week or so...well, ( Read more... )

Irene walks by with her trailer.

"Hey! Going somewhere?" she calls, cheerfully.

Don't worry, Wallace is on his way, Redfields in tow. He jogs toward the gate, not wanting to keep the boy waiting too long, but also because he's eager to get under way.

"Hey, sorry kid, but I'm here now and I brought company." Then he notices the woman and inclines his head in acknowledgment. "Good day, ma'am. Forgive me for interrupting."

Ichigo nods in greeting at the man, frowning at the two he brings with him. He has the feeling he's met them before, but he's bad with faces...and names, actually.

"Hey. We ready to go?"

When the stranger asks him a question, he replies simply, "We're takin' a trip to that Mall. Why, you wanna come?"

Irene lights up! "Totally! Want me to bring my trailer? We can bring back stuff in bulk!"

She rattles the equipment trailer that she's been pulling behind herself.

Chris is right behind Wallace, looking far too eager to go out. He's also armed with a gun and a knife. "Yo!" He grins wider when he sees Ichigo, though. "Hey, it's the sarcastic kid! Long time, no see!" He grins widely as he approaches. "Hey, Ichigo. How's things?"

He looks over at Wallace and laughs. It is a good day to be Chris Redfield. Yes indeedy. "So! Where do we go in order to reach the mall? You got a route planned out?"

Claire is tagging along with her brother, and has strapped to her side the same knife she'd been toting around with her in the equipment room, in addition to two stakes. Since apparently those were all the rage, these days. She had a very sad chair in her bedroom now, though.

She's also taken note that her brother is very Chipper. Which is good, because emo Chris is a Bad Chris.

She gives Ichigo a smile too, since she'd been all talking to him earlier, although her gaze focuses on the trailer Irene's got. "...Wow. That's handy." She'd been expecting to hope that there was a Hiking store in the mall that they could rip off packs from. But a trailer is also good!

Wesker's approach is quiet and unobtrusive. Not sneaky, however much amusement he might get from that one.

He offers a nod and a smile to anyone who makes eye contact.

Yes, anyone.

Ichigo tries not to stare at the woman dragging the trailer. "Uh...sure, bring it."

The boy is not great with faces, but he's got a good enough memory to remember the armory girl, and the guy who helped introduce him to this weird place. "I'm good. You two coming along, I guess?" It's...mainly a rhetorical question. Don't answer.

And then, to the newcomer, a glance. Must be with the other guy. Speaking of the man...

"Alright, we good to go?"

Chris blatantly ignores Weskr and instead nods at Ichigo. "Yeah, not doing too shabby. Been better." Note how he glances quickly in Wesker's direction. "Been worse, but... eh. Not bad, thanks."

"Ready to motor, chief!" That's to Wallace.

Wallace nods in response to the greetings and declarations of readiness. "Yeah, route's worked out as much as it can be from that map," he answers, pointing off into the distance. "That way until your feet ache, -only a few miles further after that."

"Everyone get an idea of what you're looking for, we should plan this out along the way. The goal is to get in, grab what we can, and get out of there before we run into trouble

Otherwise, we move out now, if you're all ready." He looks to Ichigo as he says this. The boy's as responsible as he is, after all.

Irene grins, overflowing with cheer. "Great! I'll get the gate."

She taps it, and it flies open with a bang. A slightly quieter bang than usual, at the least?

The bang startles the hawk - and Tobias takes off, flying over the group and over the surrounding buildings.

Funny, that - when did they get birds here?

Claire just briefly glances at Wesker when he shows up, and then looks back again, surprised that he was there.

Chris was ignoring him though, so hopefully she wouldn't have to witness the alleged crazy attacking first-hand.

And did that girl just tap the bigass heavy gate and open it?

Good lord this place just wasn't going to get any less weird anytime soon.

Weird? Normal is vastly overrated. And besides, Chris is oddly used to weird happenings by now. Doesn't mean he likes them, but he's kind of used to them. Some weirdness, however, is impossible to get used to. Like ex-employers suddenly appearing alive and well.

Chris just raises an eyebrow at the door thing before shrugging. Eh. So what? He's seen cooler things than that!

Wesker's gaze briefly follows the hawk. Then he redirects his attention to the group.

It's an interesting group.

"Does anyone not have a form of defense against vampires?"

kurosakiboy August 5 2006, 05:27:51 UTC
"Depends. How do vampires like swords? Or being vaporized? Yeah, actually, vaporized should do it. I'm good."

Ichigo's observing the scenery as he passes out the gate, stepping into...well, a place that doesn't look that different from the inside, except for how empty it seems. A few scattered buildings, mostly broken down, some rocks, and some rubble. Other than that, it all seems so dead and...well, empty.

Creepy.
