Faye is making coffee because--well--contrary to popular belief, she liked her job. And so--there is coffee to be had in 202!

Come get some and have a chat!

Woo! Impromptu party!

Claire's been painting her room in an attempt to make it actually look like an apartment.

However, painting is hard work. So she is now escaping it. And smells coffee.

So she comes wandering into 202 looking a little like she got in a fight with a paintbrush and lost.

"....I smell coffee."

"Yes, I've made coffee," she says. "Let me pour you some." She does, and then holds the mug out to the paintspeckled one. "Name's Faye."

Claire gladly accepts the mug and offers Faye a warm smile. "I'm Claire." She takes a sip and grins a little. "And I think you're officially my hero."

She grins. "That is the first time I've heard that and thought it's been halfways serious."

Claire laughs, shaking her head. "Of course. Coffee is not a thing to be taken lightly."

"Tell that to people who don't drink coffee," she says, grinning.

What? There ARE such people in the world!

"They shouldn't take it lightly either. As it could very well get dumped on them." And whether you're the one drinking it or not, a lap full of hot coffee is always a tragic event.

"Tragic, and painful." She nods sagely.

Moreso painful than tragic, although only by a little...

Claire nods her agreement, taking another sip of the glorious steaming liquid. Yay, coffee! Then she looks back at Faye, tilting her head. "So how long have you been here?" Claire is still in the phase of not having any clue who half the people in the apartments are, or where they've come from.

"Um, a week? Maybe a week and a half? Not long at all," she says, smiling a little at the young woman. "Too long already."

Claire sighs, absently blowing her bangs out of her face. "Same here. More or less." After the rain she was almost missing being stuck in a city full of undead.

"So where are you from? And when?" she asked.

Faye didn't know anything about the undead outside of movies. But she did miss home.

"Er. Colorado." Claire absently brushes her fingers over her hair. "But I was in Paris at the time I was tossed here." She pauses. "...Kind of. I was sort of...moving around a lot." Yeah, that was a fairly adequate way of hazing it over. "And it was 1998, last I checked, although my brother is fairly adamant it's now 2006."

"People are tossed in from all different times," she says. "It might be 1998 for you, but 2006 for him."

"Although--I wonder, if he insists that you never left or whatever, hmm. That makes life interesting."

"He's older, so I believe that." She shrugs. "It's weird, but so is being here in the first place, so I really haven't focused on it." Because that would make her brain hurt. And then she'd have to go harass Chris with a thousand questions about the seven years she's missing.

And--yeah, with the way Wesker fucked with her mind, that might NOT be the best thing to do, right?

"Being here is pretty screwy, isn't it? It's why I'm thinking about doing the coffee thing once a week, if there's the supplies for it. Keep morale up, you know."

Yay people getting together!
