Jim stares at his little device, then pokes at one of the wires.

"I think this one was supposed to make toast. I know that one is powered by bananas."

It seemed like a good idea at the time.

"...do we have bananas?"

Jim is definitely getting a look.

"Mushroom Daddy brought some."

Pause.

"I could probably modify it to work on something easier to grow."

"Acid Rain?"

Worth a shot.

Jim looks thoughtful.

"If we could remove the portion that was water, there might be something useful we could do with the chemicals in the acid . . ."

"And that would give us an easily renewable source of energy. Or something."
