Now, you know-- Ed's no cripple.
But he's taking a lot of interest in Kaylee's lift. It's making HIS life easier, at least, as he gimps about the levels. Sure, it's not MUCH, but it's something.
But he just got off the thing at the ground floor and went to inspect the motor with some curiosity.
Winry would really like her, he thinks, even if

"Y-- You're--"
You're not who he wanted to see.

"Now, now, Fullmetal, calm down."

"You're not supposed to be here!"

He walks up and puts his hand out.
"There's no real reason to fight right now, is there? Neither one of us is in the best of positions."

Ed backs up RIGHT into the wall, nearly tripping over the engine in the process. "Shut up!" he says sharply. "Don't-- talk about positions to me! Right now we're both bent over the damn barrel and that doesn't make me happy at all!"
... he's been in the army. You expect him to stay an innocent sweet thing? No. Didn't think so.
"You-- how did you get here? Did you-- go through the Gate?" Tell me this isn't some sort of Homunculi vacation spot.

He twitches slightly and pulls the hand back.

"You have to know if I can, I'll strand you here. For the good of Amestris. For the good of the people here, I have to reveal you. You're not human -- and you're a killer. Same as Harth."

"Oh ho! Really now! Surely you know that you can't beat me, Elric. I'm the Fuhrer, after all. That kind of talk could get one court-martialed. Someone here DOES know what I am. I saw no reason to hide it. After all, you need all the help you can get, from what I hear, and no one but you so far is native to our world. What do I care if they know I'm not fully human?"

He had underestimated the Fuhrer's SHEER BALLS.
"Did you tell them you engineer wars, for-- for whatever that man you call Father is doing?" Edward blurts in total and abject shock.

That same smile.

"In all respect sir? You're outclassed here," Edward says as he leans against the wall, position casual even if his muscles are tense. "And you know, you might find this funny, but in a fight between you and Hellboy? I am so putting my money on Hellboy, sir."
"Again: What's my equivalent trade?"
Somewhere, Roy is getting that chill feeling that Fullmetal is being a stupid, cocky child. Again.

"Al and I are both here. Sort of pointless to hurt who we care about if we all go missing, you know," Edward points out. "I won't be there to know she suffers."
But I'm not going to let you hurt her.
