You know, you've got to take steps, and while Zuko doesn't heal as fast as say, his lover, he is healing well and rapidly. This does require, however, a fair bit of therapy, things instructed to him by the others

Sokka's happy. Surprisingly happy, considering their last discussion.

Whistling-happy, which Sokka is doing in the engineering room as he sketches out new plans. He's from a world of ice and snow - growing plants aren't exactly his specialty so he isn't involved in the main plans, just the building. Until then?

He's got the beginnings of a four-wheeler in his sketchbook and is very contentedly... whistling.

And here's a hobbling prince. There is a jab to the kidneys with a crutch, too.

"Hey."

His lip is healing. So there.

Now there is less whistling - a scowl for the jab and then guilt for the healing lip.

"...Hey."

See his happy little glow fade? And Zuko didn't even get to ask why it was there yet!

"What's up?"

"Me." And he is pleased with this, so even if Sokka gets sulky Zuko will not. He leans over on his crutches to peer at the -- what is that, anyway?

"What are you designing now?"

Here's someone who's always happy.

Ty Lee is Exploring, and now, as she rounds a corner, who does she see but her sister's favorite person ever?

She grins. She squeals.

"ZUKO!"

And - smack.

Zuko is Hugged.

"AHHH!"

And that is Zuko going down with his crutches like a ton of bricks. THere are very few people in the world who would DARE DO THAT TO HIM.

...and he knows which one.

What, just cause girls were always crazy didn't mean that sometime Azula didn't have okay friends.

Sometimes.

"....Ty Lee?"

...okay, you can hug him. He's actually human enough to hug back. And smile.

............... no, it's not a pod Zuko, Ty Lee. Really.

Ty Lee never did try to shoot things off Mai's head.

Or make HIM shoot things off Mai's head.

"I haven't seen you in ages! How are you? And," Ty Lee sits up, looks curiously at the crutches, and back up at Zuko. "What's with the crutches? Did you break something?"

Did Azula break something for you?

"Uhm."

He thinks on this, and then put it in very simple terms. "A very bad man took a hammer to my knees a couple months ago. But I'm getting better."

His hands on her shoulders feel smaller then they should, too. Less -- somehting. "How--how are you?" he asks as he sits up, and reaches for his crutches. "Did you just arrive? Did you see my sister? He'll want to see you..."

Joanie, on her determinedly practical way back from a food run to 202, stops and turns around when she hears the sound of crutches behind her.
"You look like you could use a hand," she says, holding one of hers out.

"Oh," he says, and shakes his head. "No, no. I'm trying to exercise my legs." He stops there, just short of her, and does off his hand for a shake; it's missing a finger.

"I'm Zuko. I don't think we've met yet."

Even if Joanie were the type to be put off by little things like missing fingers and such, she wouldn't let it show. She takes his hand.
"I don't believe we have. I only just got here."

"I'm Zuko. Sort of the go-to man around here," he says with a grin and a good handshake. "Nice to meet you."
