The infirmary is very full now, and Daffodil is feeling a little overwhelmed. She had tried to get out of the bed and find somewhere a little quieter, but the instant her toes had touched the ground, the usual plants had begun springing up, accompanied by the less-usual sickening, draining feeling, and she had swung her legs quickly back onto the ( Read more... )

Ow.

Ow ow ow.

This are the noise Angua doesn't make as she turns her head to the side, and smiles. Hellboy has be-shirted her now, at least, and the bruising's subsided, even if her bones are still sore.

"That's pretty," she remarks.

Dafodil smiles, shyly.

"Thank you." She would pick a rose for the blonde who had saved her, but she doesn't think she could thow one that far. And she isn't going to ry walking again.

Well, Angua doesn't really mind. It looks better growing.

"How are you feeling?" she asks instead.

"Still horrid," she says, sadly. "The rose hurt me."

She sighs heavily. "I'm so sorry, Daffodil."

Daffodil frowns at her, forehead wrinkling in consternation. "Why? It's not your fault my flowers are funny here."

"No," she admits. "But I'm still sorry that you should be stuck here. It's not a nice place."

Daffodil gives her a sad little smile.

"Nothing anybody can do, is there?" She does not cry, but her chin trembles a little.

"I don't know."

Oh gods, someone shoudl pass some sort of law against crying children.

"But I'll see if I can't get you a wheelchair. Then at least you could get out of bed."

This is not a crying child. This is a very steadfastly not crying child. Daffodil is brave.

She frowns. "A what?"

"A chair," she explains. "With wheels. So you can sit in it andmoe about. It's not perfect, but you'll be mobile."

It's better than nothing.

She smiles, sunnily. Even more sunny, for the brightness in her eyes.

"That would be lovely!"

Angua smiles widely. Mostly out of delight at seeing Daffodil happy.

"I'll see to it," she assures her. "One wheelchair. Child sized."

It's very easy to make Daffodil happy, and quite hard to make her stay sad, as a rule. This is probably a very good thing.

She wriggles a little in the bed, very much wanting to run across the room to hug Angua, but knowig the would probably be a bad idea. So she contents herself with a huge, heartfelt "thank you!"

Angua would in turn liek to go over to her bed, but there's the small matter of some broken bones to deal with.

"Don't mention it. It's got to be better then being stuck here."

"It's interesting," she says, looking around.

She grins a secretive little grin. "The people are weird."
