War Time--at the Farm

May 26, 2006 01:49

The good guys came riding in on their shining, white steeds, swords glinting in the heavenly light that poured through the clouds...

Okay, so really a beat up old car with armor plating and a railgun drove on in, an airplane zoomed overhead in a murky sky, and an airship with a somewhat crudely-done, but rather hot, pinup lady painted on the side all converged on the Farm.

The lady on the plane had "Lady Luck" underneath in big letters. Harper had figured they were going to need her blessings, after all.

There were tremendous explosions that thundered through the air as the homemade--and extremely unstable--explosives were dropped on all the buildings surrounded the Hive, killing the Scouts and whatnot that were in them and blocking the Farm in. Only one road led in and out, making it so the Magog would funnel in a straight line. Through the quick work of Hellboy, concrete slabs from broken buildings were thrown into the street to narrow that funnel down even more.

The car was revved up and waiting. The bombs on Tris' plane were ready to be dropped on the masses of enemies that were soon to come. The warriors stood ready, in the formation they were taught to stand in.

Then the Magog came pouring out, a mass of claws and bloody teeth--red death, bounding wildly towards them, herded by superior, elder Magog, and commanded by a large Magog with a necklace strung with human teeth. Some had guns. Two had homemade rocket launchers, large tubes slung over their hairy shoulders.

The airship descended on the Hive, the gunfire zinging off the plating on the bottom of the airship.

Strap down your nuts and all other loose items, folks. You're goin' to war.
