Post-Blowup Meeting

With some help, Zuko found himself in 202; he waited for everybody that was just out scavenging to come in and MAYBE calm down a little. But he sat back in his chair and gritted his teeth.

"Alright. Can someone tell me-- calmly-- what happened? We need to know EVERYTHING, fast, but not crazy, alright?"

Mel had been in the classroom when they came in, and it was only the noise of people shouting that got her attention. Unable to work out what had happened by leaning out of the window, she sprinted to 202 as soon as she saw Zuko coming inside.

"What happened?"

"Ambush from the sounds of, it," he says, as tey head to 202. "Emergency meeting, then."

"Right," Mel says, calming down enough to take his chair. "What do we know right now?"

"They were at the mall, they attacked. Katara's missing."

He shrugs. "We'll know more once we get everybody settled and talking in a semi-orderly fashion."

The chair jerks briefly as Mel reacts to that news with an inaudible gasp.

He's still moving down the list.

Oh god, this hurts.

But then she's getting him in, face blank. She'll blow up it not important she stay together. but a hand looks for his shoulder.

"OK."

He reaches up to cover her hand, as they go in and settle and wait for the others.
