Zuko's sleeping again, and Mel wasn't long after him, curled up awkardly on the chair with her head next to him. It's uncomfortable and strained, and keeping her near the edge of waking.

That, and the fact that she's hungry again.

Simon comes in to check on Zuko - or all the patients who're still there, really, but mainly Zuko.

And doing that stirs Mel from her restless slumber, and she shifts, blinking wearily up at him.

"Hey, Tam. How's it going?"

[shengge]

"As well as you could expect." He smiles slightly. "How are you?"

[grabber_fray]

She pushes herself up to sit with a dissatisfied grunt, and twists to rub a knot in her back.

"Tired. All the rutting time. Can't seem to keep any food down at all."

[blinkdart]

*BLINK*

The purple portal-woman appears in the center of the room, clad in a loose long-sleeved shirt and jeans instead of her usual green fighting slit-dress. She moves over to take a glance at the sleeping Spoon, then sits down in a chair next to him.

She notices Mel waking up.

"Morning. You're Mel, right?"

"Morning," She says, turning her head sleepily to grin at the woman. "And you're... OK, I have no idea. Sorry."

"Clarise. Or Blink, if you like. Most here are calling me Clarise."

[grabber_fray]

"Clarise," she repeats. "Thanks for all your help."

Sokka's not coming to check up on Zuko. Seriously. He swears. Promise.

Why he comes over to Zuko's side to peer at him quietly is an unanswerable question, then. Especially since he jumps when he notices Mel. Hadn't seen her there. But if everybody's sleeping, he might as well tip-toe back out, right?

Right. Except Mel's not sleeping, really. Just dozing, lightly, and she's sensitive to the movement, groaning faintly as she looks up.

"Hey, you."

Caught!

"Hey," he replies, keeping his voice soft as he turns to face Mel. He smiles slightly and chances a glance at Zuko. "How's he doing?"

The easy answer would just annoy both of them. The more complicated answer, well, that's difficult to say.

Mel glances at his sleeping form, and sighs.

"It varies."
