Entrance, popping into the yard
The Exiles laughed and quipped behind her as she checked the Tallus for their next reality. After a few minutes, she turned back to the group. "Alright. Lets go."
Opening a portal, everyone piled through. The Tallus changed, but she didn't notice. She had to concentrate to keep the portal oriented on the dimensional location set by the Tallus. She stepped through.
Nobody was there. Just a nuclear winter wasteland. Nothing she hadn't seen before, but the Exiles were supposed to be here, and they weren't. With a glance down at the Tallus, she saw that it wasn't on its original location. Then the Tallus turned off. And her portal vanished.
Crap.
"Guys?"
No answer but the wind.
Her shoulders slumped a little. Her head lolled to the side in frustration.
"This is just great."
And she disappeared with a *blink* sound, only to reappear inside the protective wall of a certain apartment building full of people.
