MEETING - ROOM 202

Zuko heads to 202 early in the afternoon to clean up a little, start straightening things -- he thinks it's a good time to prep. Water is brought up, left in bottles on the table in the kitchen en masse -- he always finds it's a good thing to have something to drink when he's giong to be having people sitting there for a while

Padme comes in, with something called a clipboard and a pencil. She takes a waterbottle and has a seat.

"Hello, Zuko." Politician smile, friendly but businesslike.

"Padme," Zuko greets with a smile. "Met Lauren yet? She's got ssome ideas and some seeds for your garden." MAy as well talk about some good news, while they could.

[padme_politic]

Padme's smile changes to the genuine one. "Yes, I did. How very fortunate we are--that she has brought this to us. I am so looking forward to building and planting the greenhouse. It will be much hard work, but...it's so good to have something positive to look forward to."

"As soon as Ed gets the septic systeem in place with Harper, you'll be able to share him between the projects. He's stlil gotta have some time to work on the zepplin, and the poor kid has to have some time to himself, too."

Somewhere, probably heading to the meeting, Zuko inflicts psychic agony on Ed by calling him 'kid'.

Hamel's there, leaning against the wall with his violin back in his room. Oboe, however, is there and sitting on his shoulder. He's got a bottle of water already which he's sipping from.

Zuko gives the violinist a nod.

He pushes off from the wall and walks over to Zuko.

"And... how have you been?"

Zuko snorts. "YEsterday was not my best day." But ... that was yestereday! Today is a whole new ball of wax, right? Right!

Spoon makes his way in, dressed in as close to his original uniform as possible. At meetings like this it feels appropriate.

"Armsmaster. We'll need your help through this," Zuko says as Spoon comes in. "Especially when it comes to the idea Harper has. Tell me-- can you train others to shoot efficiently, carefully?"

Spoon blinks, then nods. "I can do that,yeah," he says. "Easier with rifles than anything else, but I can do shooting lessons on rifle, handgun, and bow and have 'em getting it right in a hurry. Without blowin' off their feet, neither."

"Good. We're going to need it. Harper has a way to arm the lot of us." Zuko says, his exepression serious. "I want to make sure that whoever is entrusted with arms knows how to uses them without being stupid about it."

QUinn slips through the door, water bottle in hand. "Evening, Zuko," he says and finds his way to a seat next to Padme.

Zuko smiles a little as Quinn gravitates toward Padme.

Padme smiles as he sits next to her. "Hi, Quinn." There is no trace of pain in either her face or her posture.

Quinn smiles back. "Feeling better?" he asks. "You certainly look it."

Husband and wife may as well have arrived seperately. Tom, for his part-doesn't take a seat-standing in the back of the room, huddling beneath his jacket.

Zuko greets them as they arrive, nodding to both.
