ANYWAY since this anon so RUDELY replied to me before I could edit my comment(I'm messing with you, anon)
Uh, as for me, I have a lot of work to catch up on before my birthday and I probably have an ACT this Saturday(that's a test like the SAT--I don't know what it stands for, though) but I'm not sure since my school ID hasn't come in yet and I can't go without some sort of ID and. . .other than that, no plans! As usual! I believe my dad wanted to see Brave, too, though.

The ACT is longer and has more subjects that the SAT and was originally designed for schools in the midwest (I won't comment on easier or not, because idk and that just reenforces stereotypes) but over time as kids in the midwest wanted to go to schools on the coasts, but their schools didn't give them the option to take the SAT, higher education noticed the rift and slowly more schools on the coasts started taking it in place of the SAT. But not all schools do so you have to check with each individual school you apply to.
Also a lot will only take it if you do it with the writing section, so it better mimics the new SAT, so if you have that you should be fine? Do you know where you're looking to apply?
/wishes you good luck too \;3;\

Ffffffff. I checked--I want to go to my local community college, then try to transfer to Rutgers when I'm done with those two years. I got mixed results--one site said that I didn't need to take one(SAT or ACT) for them and another said the opposite(but that I only needed the writing portion for Rutgers, but my dad said that if I transfer that I won't need to do it since I already got my credits) and I can't recall what the school said when I asked, so.
But, yeah, like I said, I might not need it? At least, I won't need it for Middlesex County College(where I intend to go first.) I looked into it, though.

Well your Dad is right, if you transfer it's based solely on your academic record at your community college and the application you fill out. The application might ask for your test scores but it's not hugely important.
Community college typically likes if you have them but it isn't mandatory? Like, since a lot of their population is working adults continuing education they might not have test scores or no longer be valid (like the old SAT for example) I mean every school is different and I'd check with them again when you're applying but it shouldn't be the end of the world if you can't take the test. And there's always October like I said if it's really an issue.

\o/!!!
Yeah, that's what I thought. :|a But then all the conflicting answers confused me, and I was like "well I can't apply yet anyway I'm still a highschool student" so I didn't let it get to me lol /o\ Hopefully there won't be any problems.

You can still apply when you're a high school student, in fact you're supposed to!! You apply one year before you want to actually attend. So like if you want to start in Fall 2013, you fill out your application Fall 2012 (assuming you'll have your diploma by Spring 2013 ofc) But don't stress too much about it, community college is very accommodating since it mostly caters to working adults and part-timers.

. . . . . . .oh oops lol /o\ MY DAD SAID "YOU'RE STILL IN HIGH SCHOOL YOU CAN'T APPLY ANYWAY" or maybe he was saying I can't go I don't remember. But, yeah, community college seems simple and easy, which is kind of why I intend to go, besides that I'll be getting kind of prepared for a bigger college by going, too.

WELL YOUR DAD IS WRONG ABOUT THIS ONE YOU BETTER FIGURE OUT WHEN YOU HAVE TO APPLY BY OR I'll HIT YOU. But yeah, it's a really good idea and a lot of people do the first two years there to get all of the general education requirements out of the way for cheap then go to a "real" university for their degree. My advice to you is to look up Rutgers gen ed requirements as well as the requirements for the major you want to take there, and plan out a way to get as many gen ed and intro level courses as you can out of the way at community college so you're not paying for basic stuff at Rutgers.
And I can help if you want b/c I like shit like this for some reason ;3; /should have been a counselor maybe /oops no going back now
