Welcome to the Axis Powers Hetalia Mini Bang!

The Axis Powers Hetalia Minibang Challenge is modeled after the big-bang and mini-bang challenges of other fandoms (Harry Pottter, D.Gray-man, Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, etc.) where writers and artists come together to work on fanfiction and accompanying artwork.

For this particular challenge, writers will ( Read more... )

Since I'll probably write in French (before translating the story), will it be possible to send the roughs in French? Or should I translate what I'll send for the rough deadline? (guess it will depend of the length too...)

It is alright if you send it in French. The key point for the first stage deadline is we mods know that you've actually written something. And if the need is arise for use to understand what you're writing about, we will ask you to submit a brief summary of your story (and I have a French friend who would be willing to do some little translation for me ;D) so you do not need to translate everything into English. It is also to make it easier for the artists to understand when it is the time to choose which story they want to media for.

When the time comes for the writers to submit their rough draft, we will e-mail you the details on what you must do. Until then, thank you for asking and best of luck!

I wonder when and where you will be able to find the beta-reader sign-up post? I don't have any beta-reader, and I don't think I'll be able to find one by myself. I can't ask any of my friends, since I live in Sweden and don't know any English-speakers that well (except my current English-teacher, but I'd rather not show an APH-related story to her, especially if it's going to involve yaoi pairings), and since English isn't my mother tongue, I'd really need an English-speaking beta-reader.

I am sorry for the late reply! @__@

We will open a beta-reader sign up post after the sign up for artists closes and hopefully there will be one that you can ask for help. If you still can't find anyone, we will gladly help you with grammar/spelling/typo check, and perhaps some plot or characterisation checking. We have a list of friends who would hopefully be willing to help you. :D

I was wondering myself. How many prompts can we do? I might have missed it somewhere in the rules and stuff, and sorry for that.

I forgot to add. If we sign up as writers, can we still sign up to be an artist too?....

I am sorry to say but you can only do one prompt for one story. You can choose three when you sign up, but we mods will assign you with your most preferred one if it is still available. For example, if your no.1 choice has been claimed by two other persons, we will assign you your no.2 choice of prompt instead.

And of course you can, if you want to sign up as artist too! We need all artist we can gather because the number of writers and artists who've signed up differ by too far. ^^;;

The thing that we only ask if you decide to do so if you can finish both of your pieces, story and art, when the final submission deadline comes. And you can't do art for your own story.

If you have anything more to ask, don't hesitate to ask. We will wait for you signing up!

Ahh, thank you for clearing that up. Well, I'll go sign up right now and...I'll see what I'll do! I already have three in mind, thank you for answering my question, and I'm still debating on doing art as well. To see if the next few weeks if I have a busy schedule or not.

Thank you again!

May I ask if there are submission guidelines? Like titles, warnings, summaries and all that? Or shall we just send the stories?

There will be submission guidelines. Both for writers and artists. We will post it on this comm where everyone can see it and e-mail all participant after we close the writers sign up, and when we close the artists sign up.

When the first deadline approaches, we will include the guidelines again in the reminder e-mail. The same thing will be done when second deadline and final deadline approach.

I would like to join, I'm an artist, but I strongly disagree with the terms of art posting. I mean, why can't I post my own piece of work on my own galleries? I really think you should reconsider that, because posting it somewhere else it's not just propaganda for the artist, but for the writer and the site too (off course that, when posting art we give the credit to all those who are part directly or indirectly of the drawing).

Also I would like to ask if it's me the one who can choose the story to draw or it's imposed (cause there are stuff that I don't like that much, example cross dressing xd). I didn't got that quite right XD

I'll be waiting for your answer!

Ah, what the guidelines meant is that you can't post your work before it is posted on the comm. After everything is up for view, you may post it wherever you want. Details about this will be given after the sign up for artists close.
For that, it's been mentioned in the guidelines as well that the artists get to choose which story they want to do. Artists will choose three stories and then we will asign which story still available for claim.
