Title: "Radio 039: Ask Italy - Ep.2 - Part 3"
Author: J.J.
Warning: I might have failed in portraying correctly the regions involved. If that's the case just tell me. Those were done out of love for the Italian regions, not with the intent to offend someone.
Notes: Recently I really need to draw which is why this long strip managed to have birth... It's nowhere near to the APH standards but well, I'm not Himaruya-san...
Characters: Italy Veneziano (Feliciano Vargas) & Italy Romano (Lovino Vargas) with the intrusion, idrance, help of Spain (Antonio Fernandez Carriedo), Prussia (Gilbert Beilschmidt), Valle d'Aosta (Simona Vargas), Alto Adige (Carolina Vargas), Trentino (Fabio Vargas), Sardegna (Eleonora Vargas), Sicilia (Rosalia Vargas), Calabria (Tommaso Vargas), Toscana (Dante Vargas), Campania (Antonio Vargas), Lombardia (Alberto Vargas), Liguria (Giambattista Vargas) and the SPECIAL partecipation of Carlo Sebastiano di Borbone (Carlos Sebastián de Borbón y Farnesio).
Time: 2013.
Disclaimer: "Axis Powers Hetalia" belongs to Himaruya Hidekaz.
Hey, do I own something here? Oh yes, I own the plot and a sensible heart which would surely break if you give me harsh reviews... so please be honest but nice ok? Oh and the representation of the Italian regions are mine as well
Summary: The Italies handle a radio program in which they answers to questions about themselves...

La Storia (History) (1985) by Francesco De Gregori

History is us, no one must feel offended,
we are this lawn of needles under the sky.
History is us, mind you, no one must feel excluded.
History is us, we are these waves in the sea,
this noise that breaks the silence,
this silence so hard to accept.
And then you say, "All are equal,
all steal in the same way. "
But it's just a way to convince yourself
to stay cooped up in the house when evening comes.
But history does not really stops in front of a door,
history enters into the rooms, burns them,
history say who is wrong and who is right.
History is us, it's us who write the letters,
us who have everything to win, everything to lose.

And then the people, (because it is the people who make history)
when it comes to choosing and going,
you find them all with their eyes open,
knowing exactly what to do.
Those who have read millions of books
and those who can not even speak,
and that is why history makes you shiver,
because no one can stop it.
History is us, is us, fathers and sons,
it's us, 'bella ciao'*, who are leaving.
History has no hiding places,
History does not fold.

History is us, we are this plate of wheat.

* I've left this in Italian because this is a reference to a sad song sung by the Italian partisans during World War 2. It basically is the goodbye of the partisans to their loved ones.

Notes:

Inspired by the general belief that Romano was still under Spain prior to his unification. The crown of the Due Sicilie and the crown of Spain were so completely unconnected and supposed to stay as such that when after the unification one of the Borboni of the Due Sicilie, Carlo Tancredi di Borbone-Due Sicilie wanted to marry Mercedes, Princess of Asturias and potential heir to the Spanish crown he still had to swear to give up to the crown of the Due Sicilie (even if technically the kingdom didn't exist anymore).
Oh, it seems for long time Sicily held a grudge about Palermo not being the capital of the kingdom (to make short a long story Palermo was the first capital of the kingdom, when France was handed it he moved it from Palermo to Naples and Sicily made a rather bloody revolution, chased him away, offered herself to Spain with the promise her crown wouldn't be united to whatever else crown and managed to do so for most of her history... and wasn't really happy when she ended up being unificated again with the rest of south Italy and under Naples).
Romano's story is awesome and pretty complicate and it's a pity APH talks sot little about it... -_-
