History:

The 10th of August is the day in which is celebrated San Lorenzo (Saint Lawrence). No idea if it's the same out of Italy but during the night of this day Italians tends to watch the night sky in search of shooting stars which are supposed to represent the Lacrime di San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo's tears). No, it's not madness. Around this time the Perseids a prolific meteor shower appears in the night sky. Back in the past the best day to see them was the 10th of August but now it's the 12th... still Saint Lawrence's night here in Italy is considered the NIGHT of the shooting stars in which people spend the night watching at the sky, hoping to see a shooting star. Generally they also try to make a wish... ^_-
