As most of you know, I left my job at RSI a month ago. I'll admit it was premature, as I hadn't found a new job yet. I put out over 15 applications to The Dove, Charter, McDonalds, McDonalds Corporate, Walmart, Uniprise, SMDC, and Menards, and didn't hear anything until last week. Katy from the West Duluth Menards called and left a message, so I called back. I reached her voicemail and left a message. I hope I can get in, money is getting tight.
I have had little to no luck getting started in mediation. It seems that here the age-old paradox (You need experience to get in, but where can you get experience?) is in effect. I'm going to keep trying, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated.
So since I work a crap job that doesn't pay the bills and I can't get into my field of study, what should I expect? My gas line on my car broke yesterday. Fan-friggin-tastic. Laurisa was driving it home and the car stunk of gas and there was a small trail following the car. I wish she would've called me and I would've left work to come get her instead of driving that deathtrap, but regardless I'm grateful she reached home safely. Now I'm going to have to use my CitiFlex (it's a credit line I can draw upon) to fix the many things that have gone wrong with my car.
My Car is worth about $600. The following things need to be fixed/maintained:
1. Shocks/Struts
2. Fuel Line
3. Radiator Flush
4. Tune up
5. Break Lights (electrical problem)
6. Break pads
7. Oil Change
I have about $1700 on my Flex to use for this, but I don't want to be spending almost 3x what the car is worth. What the hell is going on?
This leads to the true reason for this post. I have run into hard times before and come out alive. I have worked very hard for what I have. I've earned what's mine, both good and bad, but I will not be driven down by this garbage and I will not crumble when I have people to support. I will come out ahead and I will look back on this and take pride in the determination I have and will show to get through this!
I'm Still Here.
