Well, it's winter hiatus or mid-season finale time. In October I listed all the shows I was planning to watch in the fall...
- The Walking Dead
- Downton Abbey
- Parks and Recreation
- Once Upon A Time
- South park
- Him and Her
- New Girl
- Merlin
- 30 rock
- How I Met Your Mother
- American Horror story
- Criminal Minds
- The Big Bang Theory
- The Office
- The Mindy project
- Castle
- Revenge
- Revolution
- The Vampire Diaries
- Glee
Here's how I feel about them now...
Walking Dead was awesome and continues to be my top show. Downton Abbey is difficult to talk about as it hasn't aired for most of us US people. It's still very well done, though and keeps its spot. Parks and Rec continues to be adorable and I still always watch it as soon as possible.
Once Upon a time is still interesting, but sometimes the cheese factor gets to me. But I still like it and am invested. But Regina has somehow become my personal protagonist.South Park was good this season, but not great. Him and Her is so horribly uncomfortable to watch, yet I adore it! New girl is still very cute and fun to watch and I ship Nick and Jess. This is one of the ships where you know it's going to happen and know it's just in waiitng mode.
Merlin disappoints me because I still hate the drastic shortcut they took in Morgana's descent into evil and the awful stall on anyone finding out about Merlin's powers. Now it's ending in two episodes and I feel a bit let down. Ah, well. As for 30 Rock, I'm sad to lose it, but it's still a damned funny and underappreciated show.
How I Met Your Mother is taking over my life because my ship is TOTALLY HAPPENING! TONIGHT! It's going to be a one hour episode and I have many theories about the events in that hour. The main one is that Barney is going to reveal that the entire Patrice thing is part of an elaborate plan to win Robin (which Patrice was in on), he will propose to her, she will say yes and possibly have her first ever conversation with Patrice that doesn't include irrationally screaming at her. Poor Patrice. She deserves a hug and lots of cookies. Anyway, I'll see how much of that happens.
American Horrow Story... I actually didn't watch past the first episode. I know I will, but sometimes the weirdness of that show is hard to take. I'll catch it up over hiatus
Criminal Minds is another show where I've got a ship that I think the showrunners are toying with, crazy as it seems (hot guy, unskinny but attractive comic relief woman. Kind of never happens on TV). I feel like the Morgan/Garcia flirting has gone to the next level. I mean, they bring back her ex and I'm convinced they're going to put them back together, but they instead hammer in the break-up and amp up Garcia and Morgan UST. I don't know. I got a good feeling. :)
Big Bang Theory's still fun. Sheldon and Amy is kind of a hilarious relationship and I enjoy the giggles.
The Office... eh. I don't know. It feels strange and dark right now. It's still good enough to watch, but I just can't figure out what they're doing.
The Mindy Project is adorable. it's still a bit sloppy here and there and finding its feet, but it has such potential and I wish it was getting better ratings because I think it will be taken away from me.
Castle's good enough. Not much to say about it. I'm glad they're together. Revenge? It's interesting still. A little convoluted, but still good TV.
As for the last three, I just barely watched. Revolution seemed like a good idea, but it's turned out sort of boring. TVD has three leads that also bore me. Glee has too much going on and all of it a sloppy mess and the musical numbers are rarely rewatchable. They have stopped trying, IMO. It's all cheap sentimentality with karaoke thrown in and it very rarely makes me laugh.
Maybe I'll catch those last three up over hiatus. Maybe not.
Either way, looking forward to the spring season. More on that later.
