Supernatural Fandom
So when the recent SPN drama started it caught me off guard for two reasons. The first being that I'd actually heard about it fairly early in the process (out here on the fringe I usually hear about this stuff way after the fact) and the second being that it wasn't actually fandom drama so much as an actual serious RL matter (albeit related to a fan convention) that was being dealt with in an inappropriate manner within the realm of fandom. I think I'm finally starting to understand things but the situation is (understandably) being dealt with in vague terms. So, if you're on my flist and you're wondering what the heck is going on, I'm providing a list of links to people making an effort to both explain the matter and highlight the the most concerning aspects. Please take some time to read, you guys. This is one issue that you should all try to get informed about.
