Chances are, most people have relationships right now that will not last, and despite that, their love is real. Fortunatley for the human race, love is the most ambigious and enigmatic of words which provides for the individual the right for their own interpretation. I personally am involved in a relationship right now that will more than likely disentigrate come summers end, but it might not, a 1hour 1/2 commute is not out of the question. But lets say it does, lets say that I know now that I am setting myself up for a huge fall, a crippling pain that is unrivaled in intensity and pervasiveness, and by claiming that I love my companion am only augmenting whatever excruciating experience awaits me at the end. AND DESPITE THAT, I continue loving, I continue on this doomed and forsaken path simply for the chance of the latter. That my friend, that is love. To open yourself up the offense of the world and remain unphased because you know that whether it end in flowers or flames, you will have felt the sun from both sides, to love and to be loved.

like i told you before peter i dont think this was meant for you. i think jays aiming this towards the people who are fooling themselves, you (obviously) have your ducks in a row. people our age usually dont, and then do get hurt.. but when they are prepared like you obviously are, whether you take one path or the other at least you knew deep down you were being true to yourself and werent being fake just to say you were in a relationship in high school. thats how i see it, but once again, its how i interpret it. so no need to attack.

ps. jay, dont forget your promise.. april 11, 2009. its in writing
pps. ill say yes.

Attack? Im not attacking, trust me. Im simply asserting my personal conviction that love is only a word, love to one person can be nothing to another, and nothing to one person can be love to another. Thats the beauty of it. Who are we to dictate what is or isn't love? We can talk this empty rhetoric until we are all blue in the face, but it won't change what you feel for jay, what I feel for lauren, or what anyone else feels for their significant other. let the fools think its love, if that makes them happy, then they deserve to be happy. If it ends it ends, if it doesn't, even better, but whatever the outcome, the feelings were there, if not presently, their existence is not blanched. Love might be eternal, or it might be the most ephemeral emotion we can muster. Tomato Tomato my friends
