The Killers.
I hate that band so fucking much. I hate the way the music is the same bullshit over again but they wear eyeliner and say "boy" and they think they are suddenly original and sound good. The same 4 chords Green Day use, over and over, for the same 4 beats at the same speed on the same instruments with the same predictable tune. But I can forgive them that.
The real problem is the guy's voice. He sounds like such a wanker. When he sings, he just isn't musical. He spurts out line after line at the same volume, same intensity, no matter what the line says or what the music sounds like. It's not that they are the most exciting aural fireworks display behind that, but the way he sings makes them fucking boring. Where does the verse become the chorus (then the second verse, then the chorus again, then the bridge, then the chorus twice...)? Certainly the wanker with the microphone isn't going to give it away! No-sir-ee, he'll just keep making that same ugly racket throughout the song, making sure nothing exciting ever falls through the gaps.
Of course, all of this is based on that one song from the TV (Gregory insists it's 2 different songs I'm talking about, but it's not - believe me). It is just so frustratingly bad. Sucking people in by insisting you are in the same league as Ziggy Stardust and Placebo. They should be ashamed of themselves.
