A few weeks ago, I met a girl. In our fervent conversations, she suggested that she wanted pictures of Melbourne. I thought it'd be fun to act like a tourist for a day (and as such, scheduled a night with some friends to, well, act like a tourist.

The motley crew on the journey to act like a bunch of tourists in a car, clockwise, starting from the upper left, all presented in a candid form:
- Treian. His car. He wants to be a metrosexual, and is the world's first camera-shy camera whore. Often abbreviates his name, cutting off the 'an' for ease of use. (In his own words, though, he's just afraid of pictures being taken crappily. So, hey. You get what you pay for.)
- Luis. He's.. South American. He has been living on his own for a year, out in Geelong (about 2 hours drive away). Owns a large collection of street signs, number plates et al.
- Your protagonist, moi! I shave lots. After the results of this day (or possibly, the days after), I will catch a cold.
- Chris. His family owns a pub. He is the most cultured, yet completely typical Australian you're ever likely to meet.

As such, when we all got together at about 8-9 PM, we immediately went off to secure what we'd need to make the night run smoothly. (Presented in crappy collage form!)

In Melbourne, we have bricks.

And big wooden dogs, doubtlessly to fit anti-Greek forces into. (I had to enhance it a bit, it didn't come out very well.)

For some largely unknown reason, I decided that we should go to South Morang (to find cows). We found no cows. However, when Chris shouted "Hey, a Kangaroo!", frantic shots were taken.

We realised we were way past South Morang at this point, and almost to Whittlesea by this point. So, we decided.. hey, why not go to Whittlesea?

Whittlesea was dead, though, so we decided to go into the city, and I learned that taking pictures in a moving car is a difficult proposition!

We learned of the AERIAL DETECTION GRID in place overhead. It was distressing enough we needed to take a picture of that which heralded it. You know. Evidence.

Finally, the city! (random pictures below)

Eventually, getting bored of driving around the City in circles and not having the added advantage of actually being lost, we decided to withdraw to suburban living. Well, not before getting to the highest point that we could find, and taking off a few chance snapshots of the inner city skyline.

It was a fun night, should do it again some time, okay, thanks!
