silly stephen. as always.
well as the time on this entry states it is about quarter till 5am. haha. well i just got back to my dorm. i should have been asleep at least 3 hours ago. why roommate when home for the weekend (Boise, Idaho), when he left i said, "Jason, i'm going to bed early tonight, probably around 11:30." jason: "Naw you'll probably be in bed around 1:30." as it turns out i'll probably be in bed about 9:30, maybe later depending on what i decided to do after work.
Yup i have work at 6:30am Thursday and Saturday & at 7:15 on Tuesdays. i work in the cafeteria of the MTC (missionary training center) about a 15 minute walk from my dorm. I've been there for a few weeks now. initially this semester i wanted to get a job there but i couldn't find it as one of the listed job openings here at BYU but then one day i was walking in the student center and saw a ad for it. so i picked up a job over half way through the semester. haha. but i enjoy it. it's only about 8-10 hours a week and is my first official by the hour job. i've always earned money for various things but always for tasks and upon my own initiative. now i have to get to work by a certain time wear a uniform and do it every week. different. but i can deal with it. Since it is a student job my last day of work will be on the 24 of april and hopefully i'll have taken all of my finals my then also. probably come home that weekend or the the monday after. sometime in that first week i'll fly up to NYC for my sister Becky's graduation and in the following weeks to Oregon for my cousin's wedding (a possible side trip to the Washington coast!). then i'll be back and around for the summer working under my normal conditions. who knows i may even do a project for my dad, with help of course: building an extra "safe" house probably where the grill is now or at least nearby that! it would be crazy but really cool for me to do especially before i leave.
I suppose i should explain why i was out until 4:30, hehe. no big story really (honestly guys it still the same old stephen you knew) after my roommate left for his house i laid on my couch for a bit contemplating what i should do to avoid my HW & i heard the baseball game 150 yards outside my window vs TCU. asked my friends if they were there and when i found out they were i decided to head on over. got there in the 3 inning. we trailed the whole game until the 8 where it tied up and then put three runs in to match their 2 in the ninth inning. haha Thursday i went over in the bottom of the 8th when we were winning and then we ended up losing. mmmm had a lovely bag of peanuts to crack open and enjoy & during the slightly uneventful moments watched the dance scenes in Newsies with my friend.
i discovered a program to rip dvds to my mac and thus put them on my ipod. as of now i have: The Three Amigos, Casablanca & Newsies approximately 2.6 GB. I'll probably get some movies that i haven't seen on there soon enough too.
what else, what else. i don't want to fall asleep right now in fright of the possibility of not getting up in time for work...
My cousin is moving down here today! & my grandparents in april.
whoa! just took a little nap there. but i'm up and ready for waling in 15 minutes. oh basically after baseball we headed up to one of my friends houses about 20 minutes north. watched Casino Royale, which i saw for the first time Thursday night in the dollar theater, so this time i fell asleep for most of it. but uncannily i woke up just for the torture scene, eeeeee. so after that movies and 2 episodes of the office i told them that i would need to be here by 6 and we left shortly.
OOoOO! i discovered the contents of the music library!! it is in the schools main library and i always knew there was a dance library but when i searched in it on Wednesday!! oh boy, it has tons of sheet music that i can check out just from the university! so i got out 2 items. one my solo from last year & a book of solos. i was excited even though i know that i stink at the bass again, now i have reason to practice.
