Dear Plumber,
These are the problems I would like help with:
The Boiler
On Sunday the boiler started with a loud clanging noise and a burning smell. I turned it off immediately. The cabinet door to the boiler has melted shut. The contractor who was here yesterday thought that the pump was broken.
The boiler is in the kitchen.
The Tank
If I turn on the hot water (with the boiler turned off) after about 45 minutes the tank will give out a very loud, whistling sound. It's so loud that it startles the upstairs neighbours. Naturally I then turn off the hot water immediately for fear that the tank will explode. This means I get only lukewarm showers in the morning.
The tank is behind the door next to the bathroom door in the hallway.
The Bathroom Radiator
Finally, the contractor who took away the radiator yesterday did not manage to close the right hand side pipe completely. It's dripping. Can you close it completely?
