Mmm, Some Things Happen
Funny how music can evoke feelings. I got my Amazon order today and it contained a Boz Scaggs album, Fade Into Light. He's not actually singing about sex, at least not in the three songs into the CD that I've listened to so far but it's still incredibly sexy music. Mmm, yeah.
Conventional wisdom has it that we get hardwired to think that the music we listen to during formative experiences in late adolescence and early adulthood is what we later like and associate with sex and positive feelings towards MOTAS. But I would have scoffed at this kind of music back then. I was into synth -- Spandau Ballet, Yazoo, Duran Duran, Human League, that kind of thing. Anything that smacked of jazz was beneath my contempt.
I have a horrible suspicion that Boz Scaggs is my generation's James Last. Could it be?
