The Cool

I always want to update but everytime I sit in front of the computer I suddenly lose all the things I wanted to say. Ugh.

Tomorrow is officially the first day I live alone with Javier and Babo. No other roommates. Finally. Not that I don't love his roommates, but I just don't love them living with us and someone being in the apartment 24/7. We have no privacy at all, and me, Javier and Randy all have been living in the same tiny room (about the size of Diana's room), sleeping on the floor thanks to bedbugs we had to throw away our modest twin bed, and all of our clothes in baskets since there's just not enough space for a dresser. It's been a nightmare... mostly. It's been kinda fun at the same time. Kinda. Only because I know in the back of my mind that it's only a matter of time before we have an entire apartment, queen bed, large closet and full dresser and all that.

Javier is awesome. He has so much patience to play with Randy for hours and hours and hours and hours. They box, shoot nerf guns, play soccer. With me, Randy draws, paints, reads books. I think it's pretty well-rounded. Either way, we're all exhausted by nighttime. We go out all the time with his friends and family. Last night we went to a Quincenyera (however you spell it) and next week we have another baby-baptism party. Halloween party and trick-or-treating tonight. Poor Randy has thrown up three times in the last week. I think it's from his little belly trying to adjust to the sudden shift from American food to full-on Mexican food. No more cereal, now it's chorizo and chiquilas for breakfast. Real tacos for lunch. Floutas and tinga for dinner. Haha poor baby. But the food is very healthy, there's no denying it. And all day and night spanish music. Either from our ouw stero or one of our neighbors. Our apartment complex it probably 95% Mexican, 2% South American, 3% other. The building that I live in has about 15 kids running up and down the hallways all day until about midnight everyday. Randy had made a lot of friends and is learning Spanish pretty darn quick. We go to soccer games twice a week, visit family twice a week, and just have a really nice, simple, Mexican life. Hahaha it's cool.
