Joonmyun is not the stealthiest person alive, but he is extremely eager to do nice things, which is actually quite a terrible combination in some situations. Jongdae wakes up in the middle of the night to a series of scratching noises and banging on his dorm window on the second floor. Precariously, Jongdae grabs his phone and his blanket to glimpse outside and see what’s wrong. He’s one second away from dialing the police when he sees a pale face covered in a white beard staring inside his dorm room when the person smiles at Jongdae with familiar pearly-white teeth.
“Joonmyun-hyung?” Jongdae unlatches his window and opens it enough for his RA to slot his head inside.
“Wow, it is really chilly today, isn’t it? I mean-Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!” Joonmyun laughs even while he’s cutely sniffing from the cold.
“Hyung, are you sure you don’t want to come in?” Joonmyun waves him off, but scrambles through his pocket for an envelope that he hands to Jongdae. Curiously, Jongdae opens the envelope to find a pair of tickets to the movies. He vaguely remembers Joonmyun going around the building asking people who stayed in during the holidays to fill out a questionnaire.
“Do you like it?” Joonmyun smiles so brightly, Jongdae say yes automatically.
“What is it for?”
“You said you wanted to see a movie with the guy you like,” Joonmyun says. Then he leans in conspiratorially, whispering, “So who is it?”
Laughing, Jongdae kisses Joonmyun’s cold cheek and says, “Hyung, I’ll see you at the movies tomorrow? If you back out now then you’ll ruin my Christmas, okay? Goodnight!”
That’s all he says before he forces Joonmyun to leave his window, scrambling awkwardly with indignant squawking while trying to get some answers.
A person like Jongdae needs beauty sleep if they have dates to attend to.

Jongin raps his fist on Sehun’s door five times incessantly before he groans out loud because it’s really cold. Then he raises his fist to knock again, but Sehun is already opening the door and instinctively flinches when Jongin’s hand almost comes in contact with his beautiful face.
“Merry Christmas,” Jongin says, beaming with a poorly wrapped present in his hands. Considering it’s nestled inside one of Jongin’s old paper book covers and taped with a lot of Scotch tapes; at least it has a nice bow on top. It could be worse; it could come in a plastic bag from their last trip to the convenience store.
They step inside Sehun’s small apartment, shucking their shoes off. Sehun attempts to go inside the kitchen to make some tea but Jongin sticks to his back like a leech, consistently stepping on the backs of his ankles in an effort to annoy Sehun about the way his socks are slipping.
“Oh my god, you’re so annoying,” Sehun says disdainfully.
“Do you really,” Jongin asks, smushing his face into Sehun’s nape. Sehun smells like warm comforters and late mornings.
Laughing, Sehun picks up his mug with one hand and intertwines his other hand with Jongin’s.
“Not really,” he says. He doesn’t have to see it to know Jongin’s smiling because he can feel it. He tightens his grip on Jongin’s hand and leads him to the couch. It’s lucky he loves Jongin or else he wouldn’t be planning on letting Jongin finally win a round of Mario Carts.

Jongin walks into their apartment with two bottles of sparkling cider and a bouquet of roses, half expecting to see Luhan passed out in front of the television with his legs wide open, half expecting to see Luhan crushing Monggu while they take a nap together. What he doesn’t expect to see is Luhan tangled in tinsels and Christmas lights in front of their Christmas tree. Putting down his stuff on the coffee table, Jongin walks leisurely to his boyfriend, making a show of looking Luhan up and down. Actually, while Luhan looks pretty miffed to be caught in this kind of situation, Jongin is practically clapping his hands in glee. Monggu barks from the floor, pawing at the lights that keep Luhan hostage.
“Why, did my present wrap itself up just for me?” Luhan attempts to push Jongin over, but ends up leaning on Jongin for balance. Jongin’s always been sturdy enough to hold up the both of them, even though he was younger. Together, they unwind the tinsels and Christmas lights while Luhan complains about how he could decorate the tree all by himself if he wanted to.
“Of course, but wouldn’t it be more fun if we could do it together?” Grumbling, Luhan pecks Jongin’s lips and agrees. Monggu whines, trying to get anyone’s attention. Luhan picks up Monggu, cradling him in his arms.
“No one hangs Christmas lights like you do,” Luhan muses just to boost Jongin’s ego. It works well because Jongin’s puffing his chest proudly. Holidays has always been Jongin’s forte.
“And no one makes garlands like you do,” Jongin says. Eyes lighting up, Luhan hands Monggu over to Jongin and nearly trips himself running to the kitchen.
“I call dibs on popping the popcorn!”
Having someone to love is just another thing Jongin’s grateful to have again this year.
