HP playlist: SS - Anti-Wedding Day
So I put this playlist together over lunch Monday, inspired by Love Hurts by J Geils popping up on my Spotify (which is the first track of the playlist).
This is a playlist of songs SS might have listened to on Lily & James' wedding day - so they're mostly sad.
This morphed into 50+ songs. I tried to stay in the time period of when they would have married (so up through 1980 or so), but the last 10 songs are 80s tunes that fit the need, too, but they're last intentionally since they're after wedding & death.
The very last song doesn't really fit, it's clear he's singing about someone he's lived with/shared time & space with but I thought it fit in the sense of what is he supposed to do with his memories of Lily.
There's a range from country to pop to soul and there's no order because I figured sad & depressed he was just throwing records on.
As a side note, I was glad that Whitney's I Will Only Love You was too late for my purposes. I am partial to Dolly's version so was glad I could include it as a song he might have listened to:
