30 day TV Meme
Day 21 - Favorite ship - Claire Bennet/Rene "The Haitian" from Heroes
This is actually a hard question for me to answer because I'm ultimately a multi-shipper and quite proud of it. I love Buffy with all of her fellas, however, I detest Olivia Dunham/Peter Bishop. Sure, I have my favorites, but I believe firmly that people can love more than one person. My step-dad remarried after my mom died and while it was hard to see him with someone else, I knew it didn't mean he loved my mom any less. And, in fact, I like to think it meant he loved her so very much that he wanted to love someone again.
However, despite the fact that as with Buffy I write Claire with a plethora of people (I am particularly fond of writing her with various Nathan Fillion characters, but that's just cuz I think they look pretty together) ... my heart firmly belongs in the Claire/Haitian camp. From the moment he spoke to her in Fallout I was gone - hook, line & sinker. And while I write Claire with others, in my head when I think of Claire I always picture her with Rene first, so that sort of cements it for me.
