This weekend I did far more than normal. Friday, I met friends for dinner in Waverly. I was mistaken for a lesbian for a few moments by the other dinner guest. I suppose one assumes when meeting new people in your friend's other social circles that you share commonality. I happened to be dinnering with a fabulous lesbian couple. It led to some laughter and more beer.
Saturday, I went to another appointment to review the facial scarring. It's lightening up and clearing up nicely. PCOS, that's one part that I don't have to give you anymore. The enzyme masque dried tight enough that you could see the veins in my face for about five minutes after it was removed. I looked like Willow but my veins were red instead of black. :D That night, I went to a going away dinner. The people that I knew (aside from the guest of honor) weren't able to make it or stay. I did it. I met new people and didn't pass out. I felt like I should have done victory laps.
Sunday, I went to a wedding. I'd never met the bride. They actually got married last year on the Fourth, but they weren't able to have the wedding that they wanted. It was a renewal of vows in front of everyone they wanted to be at the ceremony. Weddings often make me uncomfortable. When I saw Mike see Olga, I felt awesome. They were so happy to see each other. It was beautiful on the water. I took pictures that I sent to Meg who was at Kate's party. I felt like I got to be two places at once.
