I installed another computer yesterday (a 3rd) and it was hellish.
No, it wasn't Win 7's fault! The computer had not had a single windows update installed on it since I gave them the computer. Also, the compy only had 2gb ram (a realisitic minimum to run win) and had loads of memory hog apps and malware on it. It downloaded each update slllooow. It undated the comp with each update slllooow. Ad-aware ran sloooow. Then there's the joy of unintalling apps that won't leave until they launch one more window at you "why are you leaving?!!!! (because you're shit!)" .
It took me 10 hours to get the computer ready for win 7. It took 2 to install win 7 and install some new antivirus app, defrag it and ask it to close after (using smart defrag - I like seeing some proof of progress).
