Making time for LJ.

There's not as much exciting going on with me as I'd thought when I had clicked 'update'. I do seriously enjoy my life right now, and I have no complaints, but I don't have a whole lot to report on either.

Let's talk about the media I'm consuming instead.

I just finished William Gibson's All Tomorrow's Parties. I had read Idoru, which I remember liking, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't have told you what it was about, and I was thinking that thought when I picked up All Tomorrow's Parties at a mall isle book sell-off for 3.99. An excellent read for someone like me, totally new to the life of public masses and information overload. I will start refering it to a good subway book, I think. I'm going to need more of those.

We watched Hard Candy last week, which totally made my stomach turn. I'm recommending it to a lot of people, but there's no way you'll get me to watch it again. I've downloaded the new ISIS and Melvins records, and they're both pretty awesome. I'd told Gav that the ISIS album, In the Absence of Truth, reminded me of Disintegration in a lot of ways for some reason. Like if Robert Smith did screams. The bass sound is full of flange, like it's wet all the time.

I already posted about the Melvins. Still awesome.

And I'm sorta waiting around to find a torrent. for the season premier of the Office.

CHRW's Anniversary re-union is Homecoming weekend at Western. Gah! Why did it have to be homecoming?
