I don't tend to make personal posts, as there isn't usually much happening with me, but I suppose some things have been happening lately, so I might as well make one. 8D;
My application for studying in Japan (at a university in Tokyo) didn't work out for April, but as I still want to find some way to attend university there, I'm applying to the same university for October entrance. I also found another university that appeals to me in Tokyo, so I've applied to go there as well (and also for their summer course this year). Hopefully things will work out better this time.
Having gone through the UK university application system, I have to say that, in hindsight, it's a lot more convenient. ; Generally-speaking, it's a centralised system where you submit a single application to one clearing house, and it then gets passed on to whatever UK universities you choose to study at. For Japan (and probably a lot of other places?), it seems as though you have to submit individual applications to each university. Lots of paperwork involved, and asking my school in England to send reports to HK so we could send them to Japan. We were pretty close to the deadline for the second university. |D;

Since attending the first university's summer program, I've been to Japan twice or so, to get used to it. I find that I quite like it there: it doesn't feel too different from HK, at least. I think that being there is also the best way to practise the language, so it helps in that regard, too. Having said that, though, I'm not that good at speaking Japanese. Whether it's my accent or my vocabulary, I have a lot to improve on. |'D
I'm also studying for the A2-level Japanese (UK curriculum) exam in the summer. Even if it isn't as internationally recognised as the JLPT, hopefully it'll still be of some help in improving my Japanese. The JLPT is certainly an idea, though. My Japanese teacher from the UK has agreed to teach me by Skype, which is kind of her (and interesting, as I've never really used it before). Hopefully that'll be fine, too.

Apart from all the university stuff, I'm not really doing that much. |D; I (kind of) recently got Motto Gakuensai no Oujisama (PoT game) and (more recently) Gyakuten Kenji/Ace Attorney Investigations. Motto Gakuensai is fun, from what I can understand of it, although I've only completed all of Rikkai and Mizuki's paths, biased as I am. Still a bit miffed that there was no sign of Higa in the game, but I guess it might have been more difficult to implement, storyline-wise.
I finished Gyakuten Kenji two days ago, and enjoyed it a lot (although, as usual, I'd more or less fully spoiled myself beforehand. I prefer knowing what's going on? |'D). There were only a few parts I got stuck on, and the story was good. I like Edgeworth, too. Should have good replay value, although I probably won't go back to case 5 for a while (it seems quite long to me). Thinking of getting Soul Silver (Pokemon), next: I have fond memories of the original Silver version, so I'm looking forward to it. Otherwise, I'm falling behind on my 40.5 (and song) translations, so it would be nice if I got back to those soon. ; Following a few of Winter/Spring anime and the manga I normally follow- the usual, in that regard.

I think that's more or less it, really. Back to posting occasional translations, I guess. |D
