At the moment, today seems like it was a very long and exhausting day. In reality, I did very little for it to be long or exhausting though. Just happen to be tired.

Earlier this evening we went out for my mom's birthday. It wasn't anything terribly fancy, a dinner out. It was a nice little get together, I don't think we've had a family dinner really since Christmas. My sisters were both there, and my old sister's boyfriend. For the first time in quite a while, my younger sister's boyfriend was not present. Apparently they are "on a break" says my mother. While I'm sad for whatever troubles my younger sister is going through, I do have to say that it was some relief not to be the only single person at the table tonight. It's a little wearing to be surrounded by couples and to have no prospect of love for yourself.

Other than that, however, it was a fairly relaxed Sunday. I played some games, read some... in fact, I'm probably going to go back to reading in a little bit before bed... just relaxing and letting my mind slip a little.

This next week I have a few tests to take. Psychology of Music, Evolutionary Behavior... and a quiz for my history class. A bit of a confession, I haven't actually been attending the Psychology of Music course, so I really have to buckle down and learn the information for the test. Most of what he was talking about in class was making me want to sleep anyhow. All information I knew from my long career in Academic Decathlon.

I often wish I could go back to those years. Academic Decathlon was a place I felt I belonged, if felt like home. I loved some of the people, and loved the material, and loved the atmosphere that Mr. Greenwood taught in. Overall, it just made the bulk of my high school experience a good one. I wish that it could have continued. I can only hope that I can find a workplace that will feel as much like home as the ac-dec room felt when I was going to school there.

Time to curl up with a good book. Goodnight,
Anti
