Is it wrong that it makes me incredibly grouchy at work that I can't ever feel my toes, knees or fingers?
It's seriously fucking freezing in there all the time and it makes me very unhappy AND cold. It's mostly due to one lady who always thinks its too hot in the office. I don't understand why she can't just compromise and keep the thermostat at 73 or 74; which is still cold anyways since we have no windows/no sun to warm up the office. (About half of us in the office prefers it at 75 because at that temp, we're regaining feeling in our appendages, but we are willing to do 74 or 73 since we're only slightly cold that way). But no, she's always turning it down to 70 and never wants it higher than 71.
I understand that the AC system struggles around 1pm when it gets warm outside and the temperature inside gets a bit warmer than what we set the thermostat to... but c'mon, how can 75 really THAT unbearable?? In an indoor setting, it's really not that bad. We have an entire office for ONLY SEVEN PEOPLE, with relatively big cubicle spaces, no cubicle walls, and no windows. In the summer when it reaches 78, then yes, that is way too hot and we are all totally for turning the AC down to 71 to compensate and bring the air to a comfortable temp. But summer time aside... if half of us have to freeze our fucking asses off for the first half of the day, then let us enjoy it being warm for the last few hours of work! It's cold outdoors, I don't particularly want it to be cold indoors as well. I actually take occasional trips to the restroom to run my hands under hot water.
GRRRR and BRRRR >:(
