Wandering had been a hobby Megu had taken to since arrival. It could be said that she'd already fallen into a pattern; if she wasn't in her room, she was out moving aimlessly about the halls. Well, not entirely aimlessly, but it was true that she had no grander destination in mind. It was simple map making, of sorts, albeit a mental one.

Why? It was easier to run when you knew where you were running to.

It was in one of these aimless ventures that she came across... A boy, and some sort of tool she'd never seen before (the skateboard). Cue eyebrow quirk, as, in spite of herself, a vague curiosity arose. Well, hey. Not like stopping to chat would hurt anything, right?

"Hey. What is that, if you don't mind my asking?" she said as she approached, gesturing, somewhat subtly, to the skateboard.

He paused, noticing the girl just a moment before she spoke. It was the first time he'd run into someone in person, and he was slightly suspicious because of it. Regardless, he'd been pretty distracted by his thoughts, and was just a bit spacey-sounding as he responded, kicking his board into the air and hopping on as it floated just a foot or so above the ground.

"This? It's a skateboard. Normally they don't fly, though."

Well, if it helped, she wasn't armed. Save for the red tape, which she had in her left hand, but only because she didn't think she could teleport it to her like her mediums, and didn't want to take that chance.

She took a moment to observe the skateboard, and, well, it floating, regarding it with her free hand at her chin. "A skateboard, huh? I wouldn't know about those, flying or otherwise, but... It's a method of transportation, I'm guessing?"

Color her just a little envious if it was. Someone wouldn't have too hard a time running if need be with something like that, if it was fast enough. Not that she doubted her own ability to flee, of course.

It was quite fast when he wanted it to be, not that he was about to go proving that any time soon. Right now he was just poised to fight or flee if the girl turned out to be anything other than she appeared. So far it seemed fine, though, so he wasn't terribly concerned. She must have just been another of the people trapped in this hellish place.

"It is. Usually they have wheels and you push along to get started. Mine is a little different, but no one else can use it."
