With Mello on his way up, Aaron supposed the nice thing to do would be to set up some hot chocolate for the both of them. Granted, while he had gathered Mello liked chocolate, he wasn't sure if drinking it would be up his alley or not but...he was willing to take the risk.
With Angeal out of the apartment at the moment, Aaron busied himself in the kitchen with what they had, carefully melting down one of the bars to make up the drinks with. It was an easy task, and one he had performed hundreds of times, thankfully, lending a sort of mindlessness to it that allowed his mind to wander. As such, the door was open a crack, if the chain was in place, held there by red tape to keep anyone from getting in without his permission.
Flimsy protection, but the red tape helped, of course, and Aaron was feeling braver that day than he had in months. Now and then he was scoot out of the kitchen, heading for the door to look around, listening for any sounds of Mello's approach.
Hopefully the other would be alright.
