[ NOTES ]: Enter one very confused FBI agent, who has more experience with the paranormal than he would ever care to admit. He's not very sure about all this red tape, or the ghosts that keep popping up. For reference-- no one has explained the tape to him very well yet.
The agent had trudged up several flights of stairs already, taking aim at several strange, black-haired, creeping things that had moved at him from under the stairs. He'd been very grateful for the Les Baer that he always kept by his side, the laser-guided site being used more than once. It was a matter of comfort that the gun rested in its holster, pressed against him and making him feel so much better with it's well-known weight.
He was wrested from his thoughts again as something croaking appeared, reaching for him. He held his ground, issuing a warning-- supernatural or not, it deserved some kind of warning (provided that it wasn't in his shower). His brow furrowed when it continued walking at him; the others had balked and stopped at the... red tape.
The red tape that he had been curiously picking at, and peeling from the walls, and that was balled at his feet. It hadn't been a good idea, he realized in a flash of hindsight.
"Back away, or I will be forced to fire!" He yelled the words again- when the entity took another step towards him, he pulled the trigger, getting three shots off before the ghost seemed to flicker out of focus and then disappeared.
This isn't a good thing. I need to move. He dove forward for the next flight of stairs, unwilling to wait and see if the spirit would reappear to follow him. Once on a safe step, surrounded by the brilliant red tape again, he stopped to catch his breath. Is there anyone in this godforsaken place that isn't dead? Or in my bath? Ugh...
