Miku muttered to herself as she finally pulled herself off the bed. This wasn't her room, and the things in it wern't hers, either. Well, she amended, Ruri was here; at least there was that. Miku made a mewing noise in the back of her throat, and Ruri picked up his head, tilting it as if to say, "Yes? Pets now, please."

"Come on, Ruri. Stop being a lazy cat; we need to find a way out of here. You'd think after the last time something like this happened, you'd know." Miku watched as the cat stretched, and yawned, and turned around a few times before plunking back down on the bed. "Some spiritual guardian you are," she scoffed.

Miku looked around the room once more. From the bedroom where she stood, she was able to see the coffee table in the common room; it was nestled between two low couches and a chair. On the table laid a roll of red tape, and a box that she wasn't able to identify. Moving quickly, Miku rushed into the room, and grabbed the tape. Slipping it over her wrist, she glanced down at the box and then away again... And then did a double take.

It was the camera. Thank the gods, it was the camera! Miku snatched the camera off the table, and looked it all over; it appeared to be unharmed. Glancing around, she didn't notice anything shining... But the camera was already full of film, so she should be fine, for a while.

There was nothing else in the room, except for the cell phone and blackberry that she had already taken from the bedroom. She wondered if anyone would actually hear her voice message, and if the other voices she had heard were actually people... Or if they were something else...

Miku made a bee-line for the door to the apartment, and then stopped short; there was red tape all around the edge of the door. The door was sealed shut. Miku had a sneaking suspicion about this tape, now that she had seen this... But she pulled the tape off the door anyway, and stepped out into the hallway. Glancing back, she looked at the apartment number --507-- and then set off down the dark hallway, camera held out before her.
